The new Nicorette® Nasal Spray. Will it suit you ?
The Nicorette® Nasal Spray is particularly suitable for those who are determined to quit smoking and want a flexible form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and smoke 20 or more cigarettes per day.

What is Nicorette® Nasal Spray ?

Nicorette Nasal Spray is a new form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) which rapidly relieves the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal when you stop smoking. Previously only available on prescription, it offers no faster way to relieve strong nicotine cravings.

Who is it for ?

If you smoke 20 or more cigarettes a day and get strong cravings throughout the day, Nicorette® Nasal Spray is for you. It works fast so you get rapid relief from your craving and you can use it when you need it most.

How does it work ?

When you give up smoking your body misses the addictive nicotine in tobacco smoke which can make you feel irritable and anxious. You also have to deal with breaking the ritual side of your smoking habit, such as always lighting up in certain situations.

Nicorette® Nasal Spray contains nicotine and is designed to be sprayed into your nostrils. Here it is rapidly taken into your body to help relieve nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms without the harmful carbon monoxide, tar and irritants in tobacco smoke. It relieves the urge to smoke, allowing you to concentrate on breaking the ritual.

How do I use it?

Tip head back slightly
Insert spray tip into one nostril
Point towards back of nose
Press firmly and quickly
Spray into other nostril if required
How long do I use it for ?
Nicorette® Nasal Spray should generally be used for a total of three months. After 8 weeks you should start to reduce the number of times you use the spray until you can do without it.

Maximum 2 doses per hour.

Remember: one dose = one spray in each nostril.

How does it feel ?

The Nicorette® Nasal Spray is a strong medication and you may experience some local irritant effects when you first start using it. If you get a runny nose, sneezing or watery eyes do not stop using your spray. If you continue to use your nasal spray regularly, these effects will generally lessen within a few days.
